Dependent
God is the only one who will never let you down. He is 100% deserving of your trust. He will never leave you forsake you. He has a perfect plan for your life... all you have to do is let Him be in control of it.
All this is true and you can't truly experience it unless everything is surrendered to God and you are dependent on Him.
Something that I've really been working on is being totally dependent on God. I have wanted this for awhile but I haven't been the greatest at following through with it. I was really challenged about a month ago when I heard Pastor Jim Cymbala speak at RT, he said "when you're spiritually mature, you're bent over dependent on God. - When I hear this i picture someone (slightly elderly) bent over on their cane, unable to stand or walk without it. I wish i could literally draw a picture of what I think of and show you, but you will just have to use your imagination :)
It has to be the same with me... I have to be so dependent on God, His strength, and His plans that I can't make a move without Him! After all, any move I make without Him will result in me falling.
Being dependent on someone isn't a very popular thing. It seems to me like the big thing is being Independent... then no one can hurt you. But that is such a lie. Thinking you can be in control and only dependent on yourself is such a lie... a lie that could result in disastrous events.
My strength isn't enough, God's is more than enough. My plans fail, His ALWAYS win!
I will not be dependent on myself or anyone else.... I will only depend on Jesus! I'm not gonna do anything without Him!

Awake Awake Oh Sleeper
Wow this weekend was AMAZING. I must say it all started on Friday night, well technically it was Saturday morning. I was at the church for the end of the Bible read through...it was great! I really loved hearing Revelation being read out loud... and after we finished the last chapter God did some amazing things.
This is part of what I wrote in my journal when I got home:
After hearing all of Revelation read/declared, I am amazed by God's victory and that of those who believe in Him; but I am horrified of the fate of those who don't. I realize I need to be living urgent for others to know Him, desperate for them to love Him. As I thought about how amazing it would be for the rapture to happen while we were together crying out to God, I also thought about those who wouldn't get to go. I need to be doing all I can to show others Jesus, so that they can know Him for themselves!
Life isn't a game, it isn't a joke and it can't be taken lightly. I've gotta step it up and keep it up! Keep moving forward, never slowing down, only gaining speed.
Revelation 3:3 (the Message) "If you pull the covers back over your head and sleep on, oblivious to God, I'll return when you least expect it, break into your life like a thief in the night."
I have to live Wide Awake. (You should join me :) I dont want to miss out and I dont want anyone else to miss out!

helloooooo :)
okk it has been MONTHS since i've last blogged! craziness. I dont really have a legit reason why i haven't been blogging, i guess i've just been lazy hah...not good. so i' thinkin i'll be un-lazy and start blogging again. :)
sooo i will start off by giving you all a little update on my life. This summer was wonderful. I got to visit a few friends (katy & sarah), go to 2 camps, go to war week, cedar point, and other fun things. Unfortunately summer is over, and now I' working on my LAST year of High School! holla!!! so yea that's about it. oh...and i own a snuggie :)
i was gonna post some other stuff that God has been teaching me, but I dont have time to do that before REPO tonight!
so i'm gonna post a few pics and blog some other stuff really soon! so stay tuned :)

It's Overrrrrr
Well my softball season is now over. I had so much fun, and I'm really glad I decided to play. Softball is something I really love and cant wait till next season! We weren't the "winning-est team" but we played hard and had a good time. The girls on my team were awesome, I miss them already!
It's a weird feeling, I'm gonna have a lot more free time now. I an hardly imagine that.
I am super excited for this summer! Only a week away for me! My summer will be packed with trips and activities with some staying in shape in there some where... anyone wanna go for a run? Anyone wanna play catch?? :)
Anyways, I'm HOPING that since I will be having a little more free time this will mean more blogging on my part. But in the back of my mind I know that probably isn't gonna happen, but I'm gonna try.
